Although I have always dabbled in sketching and painting, it was not until I retired that I decided to become a serious artist at the age of 77. I have always been fascinated by color and pictorial design which is evident in my unusual work which incorporates collage elements with various media such as watercolor, oil paint, and acrylic mediums. My concern for the environment led me to use various paper materials from old books and magazines as recyclable material.
My work has been displayed in several group shows at The Montclair Art Museum, the Salmagundi Club and The Waltuch Gallary as well as many solo shows. I am currently a docent at the Montclair Art Museum where I spend a great deal of my time either painting in the studio or giving tours to the many students and adults who frequent the Museum.
